Weekend Trivia (03-Nov)

I don’t just need daylight savings time, I need weekend savings time. Can we fall back a weekend and have another!?!

And, before I go any further, I’m sad to say that the photos I took this weekend can’t be posted. I wish that was because the levels of debauchery were so high that I’d be arrested for putting them here. Alas, no. They are all blurry or overexposed. I left the camera on the wrong setting. They looked OK on the tiny LCD screen, but not when downloaded. Grrr!

Egregiously Gregarious!
On a Friday like this last one, I just feel like I’m in love with life. It’s one of those moods that starts on Friday, carries through the weekend and suddenly it’s Monday but that’s OK…because the halo effect is still at play…

1) Friday started slow until we moved to Metropolis for their Halloween party. It was far more entertaining than the other options. I don’t think it lived up to the April party, but it was still pretty much Teh Awesomez. This time there was better dancing, mainly because a dance floor existed, unlike in April. The crowd was good, but there were a few more Look at My Striped Shirt people than I would have expected.

2) I hit SaSa for dinner with friends. That was the second time in a week. Obviously, I’m impressed. Try the saki tasting (the normal one) for a really good experience. The service was excellent (again) with tons of good advice about what to order, which saki flight would be most interesting, and so on.

3) While the rest of Cleveland was at the Obama rally or watching the Browns, I was seeing Paris 1900 at the Cleveland Museum of Art. It was an interesting little film. The last scene showed a troop train pulling away from Paris, going to war. Very ominous, seeing cheering and smiling men waving from the train, the first wave to leave for the front lines of World War One.

4) On Saturday, I had planned to go to a wedding reception with a friend. Plans changed, so we decided to chill out at Guarino’s. After a long conversation (and good lasagna) at Guarino’s, we crossed the street to Corbo’s and watched people try to parallel park on Mayfield. Good times…

5) Tons of other random stuff, too - Saturday coffee at Dewey’s while I cursed my circadian tendency to wake up at (or before!) 6am; picked up a new suit at Joseph Bank, but I have lost so much weight that it needs to be altered again (whoot!); gave candy to children without worrying about the police interfering (as always!); took two epic naps.

But no pictures! Bah! I need a better camera…
