Today was a pretty good day. I got much done. Focused, if only to keep my mind off some things.
I stayed out of my house for most of the day, but paradoxically didn’t really meet face-to-face with people until the very end of the day. I went to Dewey’s Coffee, ran errands and went to the library with only a few real encounters. The rest of the time it was the “alone in a crowd” condition where encounters were casual and anonymous, not direct or personal.
Squirrels kept running in front of my car. I didn’t hit any, but they seemed to be testing me.
A Great Blue Heron was in the Shaker Lakes park. It seems late to see one. Don’t they migrate?
I’m not sure how this experiment will proceed. There are 88 days left before the year ends. My health goal made progress today, eating healthy and exercising. That’s two days in a row, now.
Yet, it feels like this isn’t going to be a success unless I do more than just that. I think there are a bunch of things I need to address and this seems as good a time as any.
