This week’s trivia is pictures. LOTS of pictures of the Parade in the Circle. It was huge this year. It was great fun!

All of these photographs are covered by The Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 United States license. So enjoy them!

(To make the front page load faster, I broke this post into parts. Click through to see the photographs…)

Once the first photo loads, roll your mouse over the photo to move back-and-forth in the album. Given the size of each photo - some up to 1MB - be patient if a photo takes time to load.

Enjoy!

I love this event … not to mention that it serves as a pressure release for the vast reserves of pent up latent drumming tension in NE Ohio. Imagine the carnage that would otherwise ensue.

I’ll admit that I was impressed by the number of people who not only could walk on stilts but could even dance on stilts!

The parade people seem to move through phases. One year, there were tons of belly dancers. This year, hardly any, but lots of stilts and drums…yep.

Maybe next year it will be fire eaters! I’d pay to see that parade!

Pretty sure that next year’s parade is Web 2.0 themed. You know — stuff like this:

“Look, mom, I’m an RSS feed!”
    “First post!”
    … the ever-popular AJAX-fusion, RoR-based marimba ensemble
… & every group will have a “digg this” button to accompany their festive display.

    … i’ll stop now.

Thank for the great pix! It’s sad that when you’re IN the Parade, you don’t get to SEE the Parade -
