Recently, a friend sent me a link to the online comic Cat and Girl.
The reason for the reference was the list of Cat’s favorite Caravaggio paintings (see the comment from 4/10 in the words below the comic.) As a taste for the humor, consider the Cat’s favorite painting he calls: I’ll Put It On My Credit Card and You Can Give Me Cash. Heh!
Then I started reading back through the comics. Wow. I’m impressed because they are so smartly funny without being sneering or uptight. For example, Promiscuous Consumption is interesting and funny at the same time. When you are buying things that are symbols of success to aficionados, what does that mean? Is everything we buy just a status symbol?
